The Philippines as a Southeast Asian Middle Power in the Great Power Conflict

The Philippines as a Southeast Asian middle power is of course very much caught in this ongoing conflict between the US and China. The current Philippine president, Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has been saying that he wants the Philippines to become a bit closer to the United States against politically. As recent as two months ago, Chinese militia vessels have again been spotted in the West Philippines Sea. We hope that the government will actively uphold our victory in the 2016 arbitral tribunal case.
