The Laws of the Covenant
Last week we read of the sinai experience, and this week we hear about the covenant. In verse four Moses writes that he was commanded to build an altar for god. Verse seven is when moses takes the book of the covenant and eas it to the entire people. The blood of these sacrifices, it its split into two. Half of it goes, so to speak, unto the altar for god ad the other half is sprinkled upon the people. And this is the binding, so tospeak, of the people to god. This is the covenant where he both halves are going to get equal parts. They looked at god as inappropriate because they did a transbby looking too close
