How New Zealand Can Grow Its Population
Between 2003 and 2020 New Zealand's population grew, on average, by 1.5% per year. We have the highest proportion of temporary workers as a share of our workforce in the developed world. Our rate of people leaving and never coming back is the second highest in the world after Portugal. And we do it in a way that allows us to grow our population. What do we do? We take advantage of the fourth industrial revolution that's coming our way via AI and SaaS. Not just in regional Australia but also around the world. It could be a super-charger for our economy. I'm saying SaaS could be actually taking off around the world right now.
