How to Preach Your First Sermon

My first time teaching God's Word, I was 16 or 17 years old. It was in the youth group there in Bakersfield. So you have to give a safe place and not throw people into the deep end. But what I started doing in later years as I hopefully learned from my mistakes and others is as I was raising somebody up to preach and to teach, I would have them prepare their first sermon and say, you're only going to preach that to me. And by the third time he preached it to me, I was like, that's pretty good.
