To smooth is to converse informally, but in a way that is very artful and quite persuasive. To scmoots has since taken on the suggestion of trying to gain something. A speel comes from german for a play - it's deliberately kind of persuasive. Sclep is another great one:  to shlep something around is to drag it around. Shlock means cheap; asolu packs te punch merely through it its sound which is brilliant. But i think one of my favourites was told to me by rob rinde, and it's doveke. It's always a slight and slightly affectionate type of insult that yedish delivers.
