Stephen's a Powerful Apologetical Move

All throughout the history that when God has raised up has been rejected by his own people. And so you have this biblical apologetic that everyone whom God calls ends up facing rejection and insubordination. Stephen then we see they turn on him and the false witnesses who have already testified against him, then it says they laid down their garments at the feet of a young man named Saul and they take him out, cast him outside the city and they stone him to death. The fact that Jesus is suffering this validates rather than invalidates him being the end of the life.
