Mark Schausen: I first read Smith in a seminar with Robert Halbroner. Rothbard's two-volume book on economic thought did come out of 1995, and that was basically the year he died. He says it would not have been published if Mark Schausen hadn't commissioned him to write it. And by the way, when we brought up the debate in the episode, I didn't mention that he lost the debate.
