In 1990 Vince McMahon decided what bodybuilding needed was more steroids. He walked into a competition and saw a man who was almost able to reach his pocket with his hand and was like absolutely not not on my watch. In an article for the late great spy magazine Irving Mucchnick wrote quote the audience fell silent as leggy models and slinky black evening grounds gowns and bodybuilding lifestyle sashes emerged from the wings to distribute handbills promising bodybuilding. Some thought it was meant to be a code phrase some thought for no drug testing.
