The Importance of Blackness in Science

I worry that what we found is a collection of black Americans that are unaware of all of the work done in science by black Americans in music and technology. These assertions that this is somehow whiteness and oppression makes me very sad. I view this as being an opportunity for us to come together and to appreciate each other's gifts.
