Steven Segov's Last Name Was Segal, Not Segov

Steven Segov's last name was originally pronounced Segal, not Segov. He apparently went to a chagal exhibit at a museum and liked the pronunciation. So when Segal came back from Japan in 1980, he opened two dojos,. One of them in Taos, New Mexico, and one of them in Los Angeles. The first thing to pierce the illusion of Steven Segov, actual action hero, turned movie action hero, was that wonderful 1993 spy article Man of Dishonored by John Connolly.
