Do You Celebrate Your Mental Illness?
Mental health communities online treat having mental illness as a status symbol. It's seen as a marker of being a cooler, unique individual. The celebration is nonsensical because mental illness by definition is bad. Illness is a bad thing. People who have mental illness aren't bad, but mental illness itself is bad.
