The Importance of Knowing Your Opponent
Musashi picked up a crude oversized ore that was already broken and decided to turn it into a giant wooden sword. Musashi's headband fell off, sliced by his opponent's sword, but somehow only the headband was cut, and Musashi's skull had been pulverized. Wood is very dense, and it smothers the movement of a sword like a wet blanket smothers fire. If you've never swung a sword against a piece of wood before, you don't know what to expect.
