How to Trick People With Email Addresses
The at sign is not a new thing, but it's just not that valuable as an attack vector because there are better ones. Users don't bother reading that far ahead to begin with and email clients have a really nasty habit of wanting to truncate things like that so it won't wrap. Google shouldn't have done this. God no. But in particular, I can shouldn't have allowed it, but they just wanted the money. They're supposed to be about stewarding the internet for everyone. And yet they're like, sure, dot zip. That's fine.
