Learn English with Coffee Break English

CHAPTER

How to Use Learnt to Improve Your English

We use bean when you are not in the place you're talking about, and we use gone when you are in the place. Learnt is the past participle of learn; ed is the verb that comes after it. It's more common in American English to use learned with ed than learnt. In British English, it's more common to use learnt. We have learned a lot already in this episode, but we're going to take a short break and maybe we'll eat some haggis.
