The Importance of Human Intervention in AI
There's been studies and articles about the bias that happens with an ethnic sounding name or those sorts of clues that humans pick up on in resumes. Early when we are designing these AI systems or protocols, because they are still human-made, it's really important to have a diverse team of experts that understands the risks of training the AI with contaminated data. Success is dependent on a lot of factors other than people's value added or performance. So very early on, ethical AI requires expert and ethical humans that train the algorithms.
