Cutting Ties With Religious People
I think a lot of people in my family are religious and are like incredible loving, forgiving, amazing people who use religion in a way that is beautiful. But then there are other people who don't use religion in that way and they use it to intimidate and scare people and quite frankly, abuse people. So I would never want it to sound like I'm painting with this broad brush about anybody who is religious because I know it is such a lifeline for so many people. It's bold move to cut ties with any family members. It's not an easy thing to do. We discuss it on this show all the time. Because people are always calling in and I'm always like,
