The Power of Listening to Anxiety

The first step in making positive change is to start playing with being curious about this new mindset. The great thing about listening is that it reminds us that although anxiety disorders do exist, anxiety is an emotion. This idea of listening to emotions as information is a very old idea. It really dates back to Darwin who showed and argued that every emotion has two parts to it. And we can describe those choices as listening to anxiety, finding ways to leverage and use it productively, and then letting go of it in a flexible way.
