The Value of Being Seen by Sarah Halden

Halden's experiments with bohemia were one kind of plunge into the murk, but that was never going to be her natural element. She sees everything in a fair ground, and is deeply interested in how that warped surface hems us in and suffocates us. People are strange when you're a stranger, as jim morrison would say. And in a way, holden was a prototype hippy, a bit of a flake, but a sincerely utopian thinker. Both fake worlds are equally wrong and equally dangerous.
