Beauty Is a Beauty in the Universe

Aquinas says that all substances with their diverse natural kinds are in some way existent. They are subject to outcomes of perfection and therefore can be good in various ways. There is beauty in the world, but also ugliness, as when a reality lacks some kind of integrity or right proportion. As concerns truth, we cannot say that there is a falsehood in the world itself. The world is not false. Rather, there is intelligibility and non-intelligibility. Some things are inherently more intelligible than the world. But falsehood can arise in our minds.
