How to Split Your Training Into Two 30-Minute Runs

Distributing the load into more sessions will help the joint to react better. It tends to adapt better to that or to tolerate it better, I would say. Running what we call a double unit, twice during the same day can be quite helpful because you get the mechanical adaptation. So, you're stimulating your joint, but you're reducing the likelihood of overloading it when you're reaching those levels where you're running more mileage per week.
