The Importance of Transparency in Streaming
The big sticking point is that the actors want 2% of the revenue associated with these streaming hits. That's not something that the studio and streamers are going to agree to because it requires either a certain level of transparency in providing data as to consumption of that content. The problem is that this is about more than money. It comes down to their image. Will these actors have the right to control and profit from their image when AI makes it possible to do a sequel without the services of that actor?
