The Quaker Way of Life
I was brought up as a Quaker. I grew up after the Second World War, and my father worked with Italian prisoners of war. He wasn't like Jehovah's Witnesses who said not doing anything. But Quakers are big on reading the Bible or anything like that. The immediacy of it's the third part of the Trinity, the Holy Ghost or the Holy Spirit, that's what really counted for us. By the time I left there, went to university, I was still a believer. But you know one day I just woke up and said, you know, I don't think I believe in God. Softly like the baker, my faith just softly and softly vanished away
