The Acceptance of Bacteria Therapies in the Bio Pharmaceutical Spectrum
Advedanta is developing therapies based on bacterial cells from the gut microbiome. The development of drugs based on light bacteria that colonize the intestine is going to need to rely heavily, very heavily, on insights that come from ecology. This is a discipline that is largely absent and has been completely ignored by the pharmaceutical industry today. In this latter modalities, approaches using chemistry, biology, and computational science have been very successful at enabling drugs.
