What Is Arabic?
Arabic is the fifth most widely spoken language in the world. There are 293 million native speakers and 422 million speakers in total. It's an official language in 26 countries, but not all of them speak arabic. Arabic dialects can differ significantly from country to country. How well two speakers understand each other depends on a number of factors including geographic distance as well as exposure.
