"I grew up around them doing their act together," he says of his parents. "It wasn't like watching my parents thinking I want to do what my parents do, because you know when you're a kid you want to kind of do your own thing." He took stand-up comedy class once at the improv school aged 14 or 15 and it was 'so painful' The actor is now working on an HBO series about life in New York City called Boardwalk Empire.
