It's a deeply individual thing. What will lead me to get into recovery might be very different than the person sitting next to me. And it's a lot of trial and error, and I think that's partially what's frustrating about mental health recovery. There's this whole movement called precision psychiatry which is still maybe a little bit in its infancy but has enormous promise.
Dr. Thomas Insel, a highly respected mental health expert, found inspiration in an honest comment from a frustrated family member.
