Fear Me and Do What I Say
There's a really surprising little verse in Jeremiah 33 which talks about the fear of God as part of the new covenant. So it is a new covenant, not just an old covenant blessing. And it says, and they shall fear and tremble because of all the good and all the prosperity that I provide for them. They're simply staggered by His goodness. The kindness, the beauty of God dispels those ideas that we have created that the Lord is waiting for us to perform.
