Jefferson Was an Extraordinary Progressive Thinker for His Time
Jefferson was open to the idea that- Yes, he was. But even again, he also said that was in a way beside the point. They were human beings and therefore they had the same inalienable rights as everyone else,. Everyone is equal in there in the possession of their natural rights. He thought that the best thing for blacks and whites was to emancipate the slaves and then have them set up a country of their own.
