What Is the Difference Between Wind and Solar Development?

Growth of wind and solar has already stabilized in quite a few countries where we could measure the maximum growth rate. When a country grows at its fastest, it's adding between half and one % of solar or wind relative to the electricity supply. Unfortunately, we did not find that later adoptors reached higher maximum growth rates. If anything, their growth rates are slightly lower. The same factors prevented them from introducing the technology earlier. So weaker institutions, less suitable geography and riskier environments also slowed down the growth of the technologies.
