The Importance of a Good First Environment
I had a really sad first job and web development. I worked under a person who was very unforgiving of mistakes, not just in me, but with everybody who worked there. It's important for people who are new to code to realize how important that first environment is. If it's an unfriendly or boring place to work, it's not the right fit for you. You need to be in a kind of a nursery garden type situation where you're being fertilized with good ideas.
