The Purpose of Economics Is to Avoid Being Deceived by Economists

i would say that two biggest challengers facing us, particularly certainly in the west, are inequality and the climate crisis. We're not going to get major changes unless we also get a more equal economy in society. In modern capitalism there are limits to how unequal society can get. I think i do see some chance that there will come a time when there's only so much further that can go before there will be just the kind of force for change which even the billionaires can't ignore. So i suppose things are going to have to get worse before they get better - but ultimately things will get better.
