Introduction

Sean Aksen's documentary All That Breathes won Grand Jury Prize at Sundance. The film was shot during the 2019 CAA protests, the riots that followed and then the pandemic. It lyrically fuses the hurt and the healing in the basement of the brothers home with the political and the environmental catastrophes unfolding outside. In this interview Sean Aksen speaks about the ideas and the processes that animated the documentary.
