The Separation of Women in the Spanish Civil War
Women were incredibly vulnerable, even if they weren't necessarily particularly politically engaged. And so you have mass crowding of prisons. There's a lot of discussion about sort of women having their head shaved in prison. You know, that some of the level, the levels of violence have really quite, in some cases quite medieval. So it's a really quite a bleak picture for women.
