The Risk of Invasive Fungal Infections in Patients With ALL
There have been multiple reports of invasive fungal infections in this patient population. The early period after CAR-T, characterized by neutropineum, mucocytus, central venous catheters, ICU admission is probably the highest risk for Candida infections. Post-acronazole is the only one with clinical trial data supporting its use as primary prophylaxis and allotransplants with GVHD. VORI and ISA are probably acceptable as well. Keep in mind that VORI can as well does not have good activity against agents of U-4 microses.
