The way that you're articulating it kind of reminds me of that classic inflationary, deflationary distinction of perhaps natural kinds as things that are sort of just there. And I sometimes wonder about whether the mere fact of we are using computational methods to study these things, whether that already brings an implicit viewpoint on kind of falling one way or another in terms of genres. But I would argue that's not true because we can actually find the reverse.
