The Unmetaphorical Relationship With the Dead

I think you do form real unmetaphorical relationships with the dead. There's a marvelous chapter in a book called Bakarini's Body by Elizabeth Lekwyn, daughter of Ursula Lekwyn. I feel like one of the things that makes it really hard for people to understand the past is that they don't believe that they conform a relationship with these artists. Dead are not dead at all in a certain way. That's kind of what the evil dead is all about. It's like nothing is really dead.
