The Art of the Egyptians, the Greeks, and the Romans
In Egyptian art, the ethos of Egyptian spirituality can be summed up as God is men. The Greeks were different. I describe their theology, if you will, or their sense of spirituality as God's as men. So all of the Greek statues are here on earth. They're very much three dimensional, but they're not portraits. That's why the art is two-dimensional and abstract. It's not meant to be here. It's there.
