You talk about developing a computational theory of valans. How would that help with ethics and development? Yes, that's a great question. A lot of mental phenomena can be explained in terms of computations. So for a theory to be computational it has to apply at that level. And then a computational Theory of vailance would be a computation theory of this class of mental states called availant states.
