Outsider Theory

CHAPTER

Against the Grain by James C. Scott

James c. Scott argues that there were thousands of years for people farmed in different ways and experimented with it. Graber and wengro are trying to an than push a step beyond james c scott and say, no, you can even have a big urban society,. And even then, it can work along the galetarian lines. They're kind of casting some of these early urban agricultural societies as kind of like little anarco syndicalist co operatives. We can do it in this more kind of co operative, consensual, non authoritarian way - i think what they're doing here is quite interesting.
