The Wars of the Lord was written by Greek philosopher Gersonides. It argues that there is one superhuman celestial intellect responsible for all things on Earth, including human thought and behaviour. But it also challenges Averuis' thesis that each person has a single intellect which can be used to help them understand other people's thoughts.
