The Influence of Orazio Gentileschi on Art

Orazio Gentileschi became influenced by Caravaggio in the early 17th century. Orazio's paintings, David and Goliath, St. Cecilia, and an angel really bear a clear mark of his admiration for CaravaggIO. In 1623, he painted what's considered to be his masterpiece: The Annunciation. To finish out his artistic career, Orazio worked alongside his daughter Artemesia on a huge project in the Queen's house in Greenwich.
