The Wildest Story of the Cultural Revolution

Spy fiction was popular in China through the 1920s and even into the early PSC times. Some of the stories have moments of being slightly hilarious that you realize yes well we later get an explanation for it in the plot. One story turned to be the first bestseller on the publishing market after the end of the Cultural Revolution. The author ended up in prison for a number of years facing the death penalty.
