The Plus and Minus Story of Sanctions
The sanctions have to be understood like the de-dollarization as an effort of a society frightened and threatened by the decline of its empire. So in other words, the sanctions are portrayed as this powerful monstrous blow against the other. Sanctions have a long history of failing their strategic objectives. The one against Russia after Ukraine might be called the mother of all sanctions,. But it has proven to be as ineffective strategically as most of them have been.
