The Out of Africa Theory

In the late 20th century, something called the Out of Africa theory came about. It posits that modern humans emerged out of the northeast corner of Africa and expanded throughout Eurasia and into Australasia later. In the course of that expansion, they mixed with Neanderthals, which is found in all human populations from Australia to Ireland. This seems to be broadly true, although there's admixture with other populations as well.
