The Risks of Data Harvesting by Social Media Apps

Do you have concerns about data harvesting by other social media apps? I know TikTok is seen as a different kettle of fish because, as you mentioned, China is an authoritarian government might exercise control over bite dance. But certainly all social media apps are in the business of collecting data on us so they can monetize that. And probably a lot of Australians haven't contemplated individually. What does this mean for me and will I be happy in five or 10 years time looking back at the intimate information that these applications have collected on me?
