The Pathos of Jesus' Crucifixion

The two disciples post Jesus' crucifixion are walking back to Amaeus. They thought he would be messiah and he's crucified as an enemy of the state, so they're going home. And I can only imagine there were relatives who were like, don't go and join the circus.
