The New Covenant Reality of God's Purification

Malachi says the Lord appears not merely to judge but to purify. God deserves a pure people and that's what he's doing in verses four and five. Even the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasing to the Lord as it was in days of old, Malachi writes. That's the new covenant reality of God recreating his people so they might rightly worship him.
