Gandalf is a god in Lord of the Rings but he's like a lesser god so there are two types. The Valar and the Maiar who follow right under the main God, Sauron. Gandalf can be killed but will just keep coming back until his mission is fulfilled. And in a way Sauron is he's of that same power but what the other the media question I had when I was thinking about this is like alright so Gandalf Sauron are sort of on the same level maybe sounds a little bit more powerful but they're kind of like superheroes effectively in this world.
