In contrast, Dennett does think free will is compatible with determinism. He argues that we do create ourselves based on the actions we take and the choices we make starting from a young age. Through the process of development, most of us become part of because of the moral agents club. While we are held accountable for wrongdoing if we're in this club, we also get to participate in society as mature agents.
