The US and Saudi Arabia Have Drifted Apart
CNN's John Defterios asks how perhaps US policy, not so much in military foreign interventions, but other areas of US policy has affected what you might describe as the loyalty of certain allies. He points to India's sustained grievances on things like American funding for Pakistan and Saudi Arabia is another example. "It's simply a fact of life that this is a relationship that is less based upon common values," he says.
